Alongside the authors Stefan Beuse, Nail Doğan and Johanna Sebauery, Ella Essien read her poems "Stille Ode" (Silent ode), "Accraburg" and "Antithese" (Antithesis) during the annually held literature festival literatur altonale event "Poeten im Park" in September 2021.

The poems are published in the anthology "Ziegel #17 - Das Hamburger Jahrbuch für Literatur", a biennial publication showcasing selected writers of the city of Hamburg.
